Meet Estefania Rodríguez, the Museum’s curator of invertebrate zoology! Rodríguez is a systematist interested in understanding morphological diversity, systematics, evolutionary history, & ecology of sea anemones. By helping move energy from the open water to the ocean floor, these critters play an important role in the ocean's ecosystem. Rodríguez is working on groundbreaking projects that aim to create new tools for studying the classification & evolutionary history of anemones.
