United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal Marcus Miguel Cherry was killed in action on April 6, 2004 in Anbar Province, Iraq. Marcus was 18 years old and from Imperial, California. 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, 1st Marine Division. Remember Marcus. He is an American Hero.🇺🇸

and legacy of Gilbert Fire Captain
Dave Tavares.
A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran,
devoted son, husband, father, leader,
mentor, and friend, Captain Tavares
dedicated his life to serving others.
Following his passing from occupational
cancer, Captain Tavares was recognized
with a Line of Duty Death designation
and given full fire service honors after
22 years of dedicated service.
His impact will continue through those
he served, those he led, and the
community he helped protect.
He will never be forgotten.
Rest easy, Dave. We’ll take it from here.
