We can confirm that Mohammed Kudus has suffered a setback in his return from injury. The Ghana international forward suffered a significant quad injury during our Premier League fixture against Sunderland in January. He had returned to team training during the past week, however will now require further specialist review and, potentially, surgery. We will provide any relevant further updates in due course. At the weekend, 14 year-old goalkeeper Lucas Flack kept clean sheets in all four of the games he featured in for Newcastle at the U15 Premier League International Tournament - what an impact he’s made since joining the academy.🤯🧤 Flack joined Newcastle United from Leyton Orient towards the end of last season. Not long after, he featured for the U14s at The Hale Cup and won Goalkeeper of the Tournament.✅ When he first began playing up with the U16s this season, they went seven games unbeaten - he made his debut just a couple of weeks after turning 14.😯 At last week’s U15 Premier League International Cup, Flack didn’t concede a single goal all tournament and made some crucial saves in the semi-final against Chelsea, taking them through to the final against Man City (where they won 1-0).🏆 Undeniably one of the best young goalkeepers in the country at the moment - what a talent Newcastle have got on their hands.🤩👏
