Timothy Busfield Criminal Case Timeline: 1/9/26 - Arrest 1/20/26 - Pretrial Detention Hearing 1/21/26 - GJ Target and Bort Jones Notice. GJ is 2/5. 2/3/26 - Deadline for Bort Jones Letter re exculpatory evidence and witnesses. Busfield's counsel declines. 2/4/26 - Busfield notifies ADA he will testify before GJ. 2/5/26 - GJ held. Busfield shows up to testify. He has nine witnesses in tow along with exhibits including two Warner Brothers invests. Victims, their doctors, therapists, weren't contacted for studio backed invests. In NM, the procedurally appropriate way to get the exculpatory evidence and witnesses into a GJ is via the Bort Jones process. Defense counsel pulled a sneaky move, trying to get questionable material and witnesses in through Busfield's testimony. Had they gone the Bort Jones route the prosecutor (via motion) and the judge likely wouldn't have OKed the proposed material.

@NorthKoreanPuss @brooklyn47361 Sort of correct. It's not secret per se. The search warrant isn't attached to a case number because Karen wasn't indicted in connection to the seizure of these phones. I believe they attached it to Aidan's 2024 indictment. Shady and difficult to track.

Ignore the twisting of the search warrant hearing today. As Alan Jackson clarified, it's a matter of returning the two phones seized in January 2024 following a no bill from the GJ. Judge Krupp ordered the return of the phones. The end. Cosgrove, as a special prosecutor, isn't authorized to check with the NCDAO as to how to proceed. This is unrelated to Aidan's case. To say AJ's arguments apply to Aidan's WI case is a misrepresentation of the law and the issues before Judge Doolin. KR does not equal AK.

@RustTrial Brian Tully's affidavit for that search warrant is a key hint that something was afoot going back to the spring of 2023.

The reaction of @LawyerYouKnow when he learns details about Proctor's deposition came from a security camera/guards. He says "that doesn't seem great" and "OOF" as this clearly differs from seeing Proctor on the sidewalk. He doesn't know TB shared the pic on Friday. OOF!

Ethical rules and the best interests of their client. Yes, Proctor is a vile POS, but his attorney is doing his job. Yes, Proctor brought it on himself but sharing medical and mental health is a big no no. Attorneys know this. Journalists know this. Just because Turtle gets a tip doesn't mean it's appropriate to share given the circumstances.

@RustTrial If they werent accusing a lawyer on either side or implying it was Karen then they wouldnt need to send the judge any tweet then. Why else would they include it if they weren't?

Can someone direct me to the specific language in a filing where a party has said the Proctor deposition information shared by TB came from Karen Read? This is reading comprehension, not me defending the racist POS. His counsel makes it clear they haven't accused either side of this. Asking for assurances from Read's counsel doesn't equate to blaming Karen either.

If anyone is curious, Proctor deposition was taken at 28 State Street. The security company for that building is Allied Universal. According to updates published by the property management company RE: building upgrades, security monitors are recessed and not viewable by passerby.
