@4shaann Yea, dependant on the pension scheme the percentage can sometimes increase when you work overtime as it jumps to the next tier if the pension uses a tiered system. Sucks, but that’s an extra ornament for the garden when you retire 🤣

@RustyBComedian Obviously tax and NI but it was actually student loan and pension that shafted me the most! The percentage rate for pension even went up which I don’t understand

Why does anyone do overtime ever? I did a favour the other week and went in on my day off. Just got my pay slip, and after deductions it has worked out less than minimum wage, literally 60% of the extra pay were deductions 🫠

@RustyBComedian not my actual wage, just the amount of deductions that end up coming off the extra. Got about an extra £200 gross pay and only got an extra £78 net pay 😫
