I recently, after some horrible personal circumstances, spent some time in Mexico with my partner. Feeling free, happy, and loved reminded me of the importance of taking steps to protect our hearts and spirits. In that vein, I'll be heading over to the other place from now on.

@Kel_MHB @YSJPsych Hi Kel. I anticipate that some of the work will be able to be done remotely, but there will also be some need to be in York. I think probably once a month as a ballpark, but of course we will always try to be adaptable.

Today I'm feeling very grateful for those making space for the complexities of research. Spending time with @DrHannahJWhite @ola_demk @EASprecher @HazelMarzetti @eleanorchats has been so restorative. Coffee with @BigBadBee talking about rebellious humility was the cherry on top.

Feeling incredibly proud of @gburton221 who absolutely sailed through her upgrade @YSJPsych yesterday. It is such a privilege to be her supervisor and get to see her grow as a thoughtful, empathetic, and reflexive researcher. I really lucked out with my first PhD student!

Soon I'm going to be recruiting an RA for a project @YSJPsych looking at the intersections of gender, sexuality, (dis)ability and neurotype. It will be a mixed methods, coproduced approach. The post will be 1.5days/week for 10months. Advert on the way! Let me know if you have Qs.

Three academic generations on our way to the Body Psych conference in sunny Durham today. Super special to spend the journey with @CEJpreston and @gburton221 before our talks.

So happy and lucky to have been part of this event; lots to think about, process, and explore. Roll on next year! (Also, can you tell meeting @BigBadBee was a highlight of my day?!)
