With respect to Catherine West, leadership contests and public ultimatums are not what the country needs right now. The public expects government to govern, not endless internal theatrics.

I'm not saying Starmer is universally beloved but this view that he is generally "despised" is just projection.
Hodges and most of his friends in the media hate the PM, so he figures everybody else must too.

Going to say it again. It's impossible to accurately assess the state of British politics until Starmer goes. He is not simply unpopular. He is despised to an extent I have never seen before, and can't personally rationalise. But he represents a uniquely distorting prism.

I think the 83% figure could sharply reduce when London comes in, assuming per Wandsworth the rate is lower.
