Gosh, how do people think someone in IPL can play no.3 without literally having any game against spin (apart from sweep). No one has ever succeeded that way. Not even at 4 this can work, forget 3.
Urvil has to be there at 3, Dube 4, Brevis 5, and then one of Karthik/Sarfaraz.

240 isn't needed to win against them. 200 should be suffice even on good wickets. MI showed that.

Maybe retain only ayush and Kamboj for mega auction. brevis gets retained only if he shows up with the bat instead of chasing aura. lure brook with captaincy clause or smth. get a data analyst and a coach who will actually listen to scouts instead of ignoring them.

Still can't get over the fact that Fleming thought we can defend without Mukesh bowling in PP last game that he first put Gurjapneet (our 6th bowler) ahead of him in XI and then subbed out Sarfaraz in just 15 mins into game.

So basically we are out of the tournament. I again want to amplify the fact that this is still a very good side but caught in the hands of wrong plannings and execution. Fleming is simply outdated, he is trying to adapt but is misunderstanding how cricket has changed. I read a quote of Fleming saying that “Cricket doesn’t need finishers anymore as everyone is trying to strike at 12 Runrate”. Which is absolutely stupid cuz even now you still have to play to the merit of the ball and the pitch. The only thing that has changed is the number of risks the batters are taking and the reduction in number of bad balls wasted. We need fresh air. We need someone capable of understanding the modern game and should also improve our player’s game. Monitor their injuries and performances all year around and guide and nurture them. I HOPE WE SEE THE CHANGE ASAP
