Today, Ndangiza Madina, MP, Chairperson of the CWP Africa Region, delivered her remarks at the 2026 Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians Africa Region Gender Sensitisation Workshop.
“Annual Regional Gender Sensitisation Workshops are more than events on our calendars. They are platforms for solidarity, learning, and action. They strengthen our institutions, deepen our partnerships, and remind us that the pursuit of gender equality is a shared responsibility.
If Africa's future is to be inclusive, prosperous, and resilient, then women must not merely participate in shaping that future; they must help to lead it.”
The CWP Gender Sensitisation Workshop, under the theme: "Resilient Women, Inclusive Parliaments: Driving Change for Africa's Future”, is hosted by the Western Cape Provincial Parliament, Cape Town, South Africa, from 14-16 July 2026

Le Parlement salue chaleureusement l'élection de Dany Vassyli MUGISHA au poste de Porte-parole du Parlement Francophone des Jeunes.
Durant son mandat de 2 ans, En binôme avec sa co-porte-parole d’Andorre, sa mission principale sera d'assurer le plaidoyer de la jeunesse de tout l'espace francophone.
Ce rôle crucial de plaidoyer l'amènera à porter la voix des jeunes et défendre leurs intérêts directement auprès des parlements, des chefs d'État et des grands médias internationaux.
Du 7 au 11 juillet 2026 s’est tenu, à Yaoundé, la 51eme Session de l’Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie (APF). En ce rendez-vous, deux jeunes rwandais Dany Vassyli MUGISHA et Loane MWIZA ont participé et contribué positivement dans les différentes commissions regroupant des jeunes issus de l’espace francophone.
