Waste is not harmless. It is a threat to health, the environment, and our future. Today, XR senior citizens and youth took action in Nyanza by cleaning and sorting waste into biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials. Real change begins when communities act.

Stop the Dry Future brought communities together to reclaim control over water through practical rainwater harvesting and local action. This is climate justice, led by the people.

System change, not climate change! XR Kigali raised its voice today for climate debt cancellation. As COP30 takes place, we call on global leaders: Cancel the debt the Global South is forced to carry. No climate justice without debt justice.

Decarbonization in Action! XR Rubavu empowered families to switch to improved charcoal stoves and where possible, gas or electric cooking. Cleaner air, less deforestation, and lower CO₂ emissions. Thank you to all who made this possible. Rubavu is going green!

On April 29, XR Kigali joined the #UniteAgainstClimateFailure campaign! We held a climate education session at G.S Gatenga, then hit the streets for a climate march, raising our voices for climate justice!

On March 27th, XR Rwanda led an Immersion Program at ACEJ Karama TSS, training students on climate action. They established a botanical seedbed for endangered plants and plan to share seedlings with schools & farmers to restore biodiversity! @ClimateAct @FAOclimate @ExtinctionR

XR Kigali during their continuous campaign and actions against fossil fuels. From the Okavango delta, to the DRC peatland auctions to big oil and EACOP, fossil fuels are still the biggest threat to the Paris Agreement, SDGs and Nationally Determined Contributions. @stopoil

XR Rwanda during their beautiful trouble actions this Fall 2024, calling on the Fossil Fuel Sector to "Leave it in the Ground". It comes at a time when new oil and gas projects are being licensed in IUCN recommended areas and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
