@thepeacepoet99 This sounds like a very eloquent apology until you think about who your mother is. If you expect us all to believe that you have never seen this side of the gender critical movement before, you must think we are all idiots.

🚨I was wrong. When I entered the gender conversation publicly, I thought that “my side” (the gender critics) were motivated in our advocacy by our concern about the welfare of the young people who are being haphazardly placed onto an experimental social & medical gender transition pathway based on a shoddy evidence base underpinning. Apparently, I was wrong. Turns out, some of you on “my side” have neither concern nor compassion for the young people who find themselves ensnared in this, at all. I call the trans activists out all the time when they do this, and I now feel compelled to do the same to those who share many of my beliefs: It is unacceptable to politicize the death of a brutally murdered young person by denying them their very humanity, while also claiming to stand on the side of human rights. This is the realm of the most evil kind of hypocrisy imaginable. Celebrating, joking or making light of the murders of innocent people, be they Charlie Kirk or Juniper Blessing cannot ever be tolerated. We mustn’t allow disagreements over ideology or with the lifestyles of others cause us to lose our humanity. Because politics based upon nothing more than contempt will NEVER create a more just and peaceful world. Rest in peace, Juniper. You deserved to live 80 more years. You deserved to be still singing in your choir. You deserved to be attending your college classes. You deserved to make the stupid mistakes that all young people will make, and to grow old enough to learn from them. You deserved the chance to become a brilliant scientist with enough hard work on your part. Or you deserved to have the chance to realize that maybe atmospheric science wasn’t your calling, and then to try on a new hat. Or to try on 500 hats until you found the one that fit. You deserved to grow up. You did not deserve to be murdered by a deranged lunatic, whatever his deranged motive, while you were just trying to do your laundry. And you certainly did not deserve to have your murder paraded around as cannon fodder in one of the most caustic issues of our time, by BOTH sides of the issue. Juniper, may your memory be for blessing. You deserved so much better.
pagliacci the hated 🌝@Slatzism

Incredible development in the case of the UW troon who was stabbed. The killer told prosecutors that he just wanted to murder a woman. That was his motive. So he either thought the troon was a woman, or he actively included “trans women” in his definition of “women.” Not only was this not a transphobic hate crime, it is probably the world’s first gender affirming murder. Transphobia would have saved this guy’s life.

🔥 @redstateupdate (MURFREESBORO): “I ain’t sayin’ there wasn’t fraud in government before Trump — but I Guarantee-Damn-Tee you there’s a shitload more now. ‘Fraud’ to Republicans means a Black person/Somali immigrant is doing it- or an undocumented immigrant is in the hospital.”

Vancouver and Toronto helped put Canada on the map as a world-class destination for Chinese food. Full stop. Vancouver alone is one of the greatest eating cities anywhere. These are just a few of my go-to spots when I’m in town because trust me, there are WAY too many great places to fit into one video. That’s the beauty of eating in Vancouver. You can spend days chasing great Chinese food and still barely scratch the surface. What's your go-to when you're in Vancouver?

In a leaked recording in 2017, Mitt Romney explained to a private fundraiser crowd that 47% of US income tax filers do not pay any federal income tax. This statement went viral, people took great umbridge at this fact, and it may have cost him the presidency. Yesterday, Jeff Bezos basically found a different way to point out the same thing, and just how progressive our federal income tax really is. He said the bottom 50% shouldn’t pay any income tax and it would be pretty cheap to do so, since it only represents 3% of what the IRS collects on federal income. Two entirely different reactions to the same basic idea. Framing. It matters.

On the left is David Reimer, and on the right is Brenda Reimer. They are the same person. As a child, he was the victim of a botched circumcision, and on the advice of a doctor, his family decided to have him castrated and raised as a girl. For years, doctors presented the case as proof that a child’s gender identity could be shaped by upbringing. But he never felt like a girl. He rejected dresses, hated being treated that way, and struggled deeply with the identity forced on him. At 14, his parents finally told him the truth. A year later, he chose to live as a boy again and took the name David. He later married and became a stepfather, but the trauma followed him for the rest of his life. In 2004, David Reimer died by suicide at 38.

@lintcstealth @dippindotz_exe @AliceButcher875 @creepydotorg Exactly. My body also appeared female when I was a child but I knew I was not a girl. Thankfully medical technology and research developed a treatment that has allowed me to live comfortably as a man for nearly half my life.

@61harpy @Otter26and @DreamLeaf5 Exactly. You cannot make someone trans. David was a boy put into a girls body, given female hormones and told he was a girl. He had no reason to think he was a boy and still he knew something was wrong.

For most. In my 10k people town there 5 trans toddlers. All males. They were transed at birth and daycare workers had to use cross sex pronouns. They are between 7 and 4. One will certainly drop, is very masculine and they cannot force him on dresses anymore. One is so scared, always holding to his father skirts (father is also trans). I doubt they will be able to go against the father imposition.
