Nabokov’s lectures on literature are bitchy, rebarbative, exasperating — and absolutely unmissable. He told his class on Ulysses to ignore the Homeric schemes, the thematic tables, and focus on Bloom’s and Stephen’s intertwining itineraries. He even drew them a little map. 😊
