I owe an apology to every person I introduced to Eric Swalwell over the years. The rumors about him weren’t new. They had been circulating for a long time, and many people were aware of them. When he asked for my support in the California gubernatorial race, I raised those concerns directly. He unequivocally denied them, dismissing it as Washington rumor mill nonsense and claiming there was no truth behind it. He framed it as behavior from when he was single, without recognizing or acknowledging the underlying power dynamics at play. I took him at his word. That was a mistake and a failure. I should have listened more carefully to the people who warned me. I regret not taking those concerns more seriously, and I regret the role I played in lending him credibility. We all need to do better about who we trust, who we elevate, and when we choose to look the other way.

Remember that I predicted a long time ago that President Obama will attack Iran because of his inability to negotiate properly-not skilled!

If Congress had the slightest courage or self-respect, they’d launch oversight hearings of these allegations. If the allegations are false or overstated they’d be helping the administration and the country by clearing the air. If they are found to be true, and part of administration policy, impeachment proceedings of those responsible should be launched. But not caring either way and doing nothing is flatly a violation of their oaths. The GOP controlled Congress is simply derelict.

I'm confused how this isn't the biggest story in the world right now. Trump has launched a regime change war in Venezuela. He and @marcorubio are lying and pretending its about fentanyl, but it's really about oil. We've seen this movie before and it ends badly.
