Even worse, if they had Bible and Theology classes in high school, the primary emphasis of those courses was to teach them to defend the faith against “culture.” This is not the behavior of a community that truly believes what it says about the Bible. 2/2

Apologetics can’t be the driver of theological studies. 9/10 undergrad students I talk to about biblical studies state that their goal is to become an apologist. And why should they think otherwise? When they go online, 90+% of “Christian” content is apologetics or polemics. 1/2
