I feared #Warfare would "glorify the Iraq war & gloss over the devastating impact it had on Iraqi people" so I am relieved to hear that is not what this film is about. According to early reactions below it is a brutal, horrifying, devastating, visceral look at modern warfare.

“what’s something you learned just by watching one of your co-stars or directors work?” kit connor: “the film that i just did [‘warfare’], i got to work with alex garland, who’s a genius, i think. one thing that i feel like i learned from him was the fact that he’s very decisive. he’s very clear about what he wants, but he’s also very good at taking the talents of other people and kind of like—he surrounds himself with very talented and smart people and trusts their opinions a lot. so he can collaborate with people and take things, and take suggestions, and kind of put it in. and he’s got a vision but it’s also malleable, which i think is great.”
