GIRL SEXUALLY ASSAULTED IN 'ABHORRENT INCIDENT' IN BRISTOL 🚨 Avon and Somerset Police have launched an appeal after a girl was sexually assaulted in Bristol by an unknown offender. The attack happened in the Portland Square area at around 3.30am on Saturday, June 20. A member of the public encountered the victim, who told them what had happened, police said, and then immediately received a report disclosing the incident. Avon and Somerset Police say an extensive investigation is well underway, and they have maintained contact with the victim, who has been offered access to any support services she feels she would benefit from. The force has carried out CCTV and forensic enquiries and is now issuing an image of a man they would like to speak to, as they believe he may have information that could assist their enquiries. The man pictured is described by police as being of Asian heritage and aged between 20 and 24 years of age. He is of skinny build, with black curly hair and a goatee-style beard. The force said he was wearing grey trousers, a grey and black jacket, white trainers and was riding a dark bicycle. DC Caitlin Hiles has described the assault as ‘abhorrent’, adding it has caused great distress to the victim and their family. She also appeals to anybody with CCTV or other relevant footage from the Portland Square and Cabot Circus areas from between 2.30am and 3.30am on Saturday, June 30.
