Well, this is terrifying. This green sludge was apparently oozing from the streets by the World Trade Center last week. It was coming from manholes and sewers and it flowing down the sidewalks and streets. What the heck could this stuff be? Some people on social media have guesses: 1) Antifreeze for the heating systems in NYC 2) The “ooze” from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3) Ghostbuster slime (but wasn’t that normally pink?) 4) “The Blob” What do you think it is?
