@language_ap (law.cornell.edu/wex/geneva_con….) The protocols that the United States refused to ratify deal with protecting the victims of war during conflicts, global and non global. Similarly, the United States refused to abide by common article 3 during its war with al Qaeda.
@language_ap In many of the world conflicts, we are portrayed as the paragons of virtue working to make the world a better place while that may not necessarily be the case. With patriotic education the youth would find no faults in what the government is doing since they would believe that-
@Evan_AP_Lang@language_ap I agree that the punishment doesn’t fit the crime and that there needs to be a better understanding of what mental illness is within the judicial system.

@Evan_AP_Lang@language_ap I liked that you cited another source and agree that biometric data could help the TSA. With the ever changing facial recognition software there’s no limit to how helpful it could be.
@language_ap The city should work to better their facial recognition to correctly profile someone, regardless of race, gender, or age. Not only will this improve the way of life in Portland, but the trust in the police force as well.
@language_ap If Portland was a city of saints and crime never occurred, perhaps facial recognition wouldn’t be needed. While there are problems with facial recognition that are rightly justified, getting rid of the system all together won’t help.
