@JamesFlowerIII @tlschwerz No, I just expect more at this point because I’ve seen more. I get it, you’re all about participation trophies.

@RyanSpiek @tlschwerz He was tied for 64th best bWAR for pitchers in baseball last year. Yes- that league average pitcher on a league minimum contract is very good for a small market team. Please keep burying your own grave. espn.com/mlb/stats/play…

This is why Simeon Woods Richardson is tough to count on in the roation. There just isn't great put away stuff. So much nibbling leads to high pitch counts, and once he gets burned, it's tough to come back from. 48 pitches to get six outs.

@RyanSpiek @tlschwerz I don’t think you understand that having a league average pitcher as your #5 starter is a major win. Most orgs have junk ballers in the 5 slot or AAA guys (or they overpay for a backend starter).

@JamesFlowerIII @tlschwerz Yeah and I hope they show signs of improvement after they have as many starts at the MLB level that SWR has.

@RyanSpiek @tlschwerz For the record- Abel will turn 25 during the season and Zebby will turn 26 during the season. Those were your other “young” options.

@RyanSpiek @tlschwerz A) He’s graded out as an average major leaguer by bWAR the past two seasons (thats great for a 5th starter) B) Your fifth starter doesn’t need to be a young guy but he’s only 25. C) An average major leaguer making the minimum salary had a lot of value for a small market team

@JamesFlowerIII @tlschwerz Whether you want to call him the 4 or 5 starter, he’s had very little improvement over the last 3 seasons. The 5 slot is for young guys that eventually move up, not for guys to camp out there for their whole career.

@tlschwerz @RyanSpiek I know math is hard for you Ted but your number 5 starter moves up a slot to number 4 when Pablo blows out his elbow.

@tlschwerz Yeah his last half dozens starts to end last season looked promising. He pitched with more efficiency and struck out more hitters. Now it seems like he’s back to his old self of throwing way too many pitches in the first 4 innings.

@tlschwerz These are such lame takes. Look at almost every teams number 5 starter. You’ll happily take SWR and his innings eating work. Getting 4.2 bWAR the past two years from your #5 starter is perfectly fine.

@JJMcGLAZER @KillebrewDj All of MLB today is about spreadsheets. The Dodgers are the most analytical team in the majors.

@RyanSpiek @KillebrewDj They had a higher payroll than the division rivals most of the years he managed and everything he did was robotic predetermined by his spreadsheets.

I haven’t been a Wallner fan, but acknowledge the power upside he has. At least Shelton appears to be giving him the chance to play every day something Rocco would’ve never done.

@JJMcGLAZER @KillebrewDj That means nothing when the guys they paid rarely played more than 50 games a season together.

@JJMcGLAZER @KillebrewDj He had one of the highest winning percentages in Twins’ history for a manager. With a low payroll crappy roster

My father-in-law has been a Twins season ticket holder since 2003. He did not renew for this year. I hope many others did the same.
Patrick Powers@pjpowers55

@johnkriesel I've been a Twins fan since 1963 and I've never been so pissed at a team in my life. The Pohlads swindled the city into building Target Field. Please, just sell the team. Please!

@Walterskol1 @JJMcGLAZER Should I have watched today’s home game vs Detroit? Looks like they must have been really inspired to go after that 3 seed!
