Current status: Looking at my old landing pages and cringing. I was trying so hard to sound like a "Pro Copywriter" that I forgot to sound like a human. It's messy, it's a bit embarrassing to look back at, but I guess that’s what building in public is for.

@matt_gray_ Most founders call it evolving when they’re really just starting over from zero because the middle part is hard.

Most businesses stall because the founder keeps reinventing the direction every 90 days. consistency builds trust and trust compounds revenue.

@dickiebush Solid list, but I’d argue health is the lead domino. If that’s off, the business and relationship mirrors just show you a tired version of yourself.

Last month, I turned 30. So I've been reflecting on all the ups and downs I experienced in my 20s. There are 3 “vehicles” for personal progress. And taking on each will make your deficiencies *glaringly* obvious. But the average person is doing none of them (and they're miserable because of it). Each of these 3 areas will be mirrors that illuminate where you: • Lack skills • Lack character traits • Lack emotional capacity And entering into each without an ego and with a willingness to learn will help you progress rapidly. 1. Building your health. Learning how to lift correctly, meditate, journal, manipulate your calorie intake, dial in your sleep routine, and optimize your energy levels. You'll quickly find out where you lack discipline, consistency, ownership, willpower, and the ability to delay gratification. 2. Building a business. Learning copywriting, email marketing, ghostwriting, sales, offer creation, operations, customer success, hiring, training, and leadership. This will show you where you lack skills as each time the business stops growing, it's because you are the bottleneck. And it will also teach you how to learn "just-in-time" rather than "just-in-case." 3. Dating & building a relationship. Setting up dates, initiating conversation, making someone feel safe and secure, setting boundaries, making trade-offs, and identifying your values. This will show you where your emotional intelligence is lacking—ego, frame, social anxiety, empathy, adaptability, fear of rejection, outcome detachment, and belief in your personal mission. @KevinSzabo14 I used to just say "Great post" and wonder why my profile was a ghost town.

X growth is simple: Write better comments. Comments give you profile clicks. Profile clicks give you followers. Followers give you more comments. That’s how you systemize your profile. Learn to write better.

@IAmAaronWill I'm still in that manual phase and it’s a total time sink. This makes me realize I need to start building better systems to hit my goals.

@stijnnoorman I get restless when I have too many ideas and no plan. Usually means I need to step away from the screen for ten minutes to get my head straight.

If you're restless, you need clarity. If you're scattered, you need focus. If you're procrastinating, you need action.

Spent years in pharma hiding behind technical language because it made me feel credible. The moment I started writing the way I actually talk to people, everything changed. My coaching clients do the same thing. They overcomplicate their message because simple feels "too easy." Simple is what lands.

Working toward that $10k/month goal is teaching me a lot about ego. Using big words was my way of hiding the fact that I’m still a beginner. But the more I simplify, the more people actually respond.

David Ogilvy said: "Advertising people who ignore research are as dangerous as generals who ignore decodes of enemy signals." Start with the reader. Soak up their reviews. Join their communities. Steal their exact language. Copy that sounds like the reader converts 2x better.

@weesiang_lim So true. People just want to know you can help.

My first coaching emails were paragraphs of credentials and methodology. Three certifications, ten years of experience, links to research. Then I started writing like I was texting a friend who needed help. Shorter emails. Better responses. The credibility was already in the results, not the vocabulary.

Spent way too long on an email today. Kept adding proof and big words because I was scared no one would take me seriously. But that's not all.

So I deleted half of it. Just going to say the thing and let it be what it is.

When you try that hard to convince someone, you’re basically telling them: "I don't think this is believable on its own."

@writerpath_ @IAmAaronWill I’ve definitely lowballed myself just to avoid a "no". Currently trying to unlearn that habit.

@RyanTNotes @IAmAaronWill i feel we often price ourselves based of our self esteem when you running low, you are sht with price, it's only when you really know what you are worth and you feel it deep inside, you can charge correctly

I once charged a dude $3k for my services. When we finished delivering he tells me that he would've paid $10k. I was mad. So I increased my prices. Don't undersell yourself. Charge more.
