🚨 2024 Season Preview 🚨 Austin Hyde Park TAPPS D2, District 2 HC: @phil_dawson_4 Team: @AthleticsHP @HaydenBechtol @CrawfordMoffitt @CarterKauffman2 @ZahnGreen @houston_shaw5 @JdRichards52 @Ryanfriday6 @HudsonFitzpatri @masonparrish71 @matthewlee_55 @Dru_Dawson4 @TylerOrlando7 The Hyde Park Panthers have had a resurgence since Coach Dawson took over two seasons ago. Our sources tell us there is a battle for the QB1 spot between last year's starter Hayden Bechtol, Austin Westlake transfer Crawford Moffitt, and Lake Travis transfer Carter Kauffman. All three possess valuable quarterback traits, so it will be interesting to see who Coach Dawson selects. Jack Braddock returns as a versatile weapon for the Panthers, creating matchup issues all over the field. Houston Shaw returns as a dynamic offensive back, and we anticipate increased production from him this season. The offensive line is a standout, with Hudson Fitzpatrick, Mason Parrish, and Wyatt Smith forming one of the best units in Division 2. Defensively, Zahn Green and Simon Coleman will be forces inside the box, while Tyler Orlando and Ryan Friday man the second and third levels for the Panthers. I really like this year’s Panther squad and can’t wait to see how they play!

The Quarries have been staying busy this spring!

And they’re off to Arlington! Three members of our Track & Field team are competing in the TAPPS Regional Meet tomorrow morning. Best of luck to Ryan Friday & Aiden Conquest as they compete in the Boy’s Individual 400 M, and to Clara Coleman as she competes in the Discus & Shot Put events tomorrow morning at UTA!

Hyde Park Track & Field showed out at the district meet yesterday! Clara Coleman finished first place in shotput and second in discus, which qualified her for Regionals in BOTH events! Then in the Men’s 400 M event, Aiden Conquest & Ryan Friday finished 1-2 to send them both to the Regional meet in Arlington on April 25th!

TAPPS District Track Meet today! Field events begin around 9:30 AM with runners starting at 11 AM! Good luck to all competing!

Congrats to Hyde Park Track & Field Junior, Ryan Friday, for his 2nd place finish at the St. Dominic Savio Early Relays! Ryan competed in the 200 Meter and finished with a time of 24 seconds! Congrats, Ryan! We’re so proud of you!
