@sapphyreblayze There are “Suburbs” of all types. From cookie cutter houses like your picture to homes the size of European castles. Try to find an education. It will make you less naive.

@LLCBCer Says a Canadian. With zero capacity for nuance. There is a massive difference between the “American Heatland” (I.e. The Midwest) vs American Coastal cities. You’re a fucking moron. Congrats. 🎉

I’m generally not a conspiratorial person, but I can’t even blame anyone for thinking this is a psyop anymore. “European tourist discovers that rural Ohio was peak America all along” is something totally out of a MAGA fantasy.
Freddy🇩🇪@FreddyLA7

Driving through Ohio. Towns like this are why we’re trying to avoid the interstates and take the slower roads instead. These are the kinds of places we want to see. This feels like peak America.🇺🇸

Why are Americans constantly looking for praise and confirmation? And they can’t get it from someone else they give themselves praise: “We’re the greatest country” “We host the best WC” “We’re the richest country” Are they the most insecure people on the planet or what?

Can't believe I'm adding to this AC debate again, but here we go. AC is generally not a problem; almost everybody I know in Southern Europe has it. People here are not stupid, oppressed, or poor, as Americans would like to think. In fact, I think that in these debates, Americans often project, but that is another story. The problem is this American obsession with creating fridge conditions, where outside you have 35 °C and inside you expect 18 °C. That is absolutely horrible for human health; we are not designed to handle such temperature shocks on a daily basis. Europeans don't have a problem with AC; we have a problem with ignorant people who don't understand the downsides of extreme temperature drops on a daily basis. If the outside temperature is 35 °C, bringing the inside temperature to 27-28 °C makes it perfectly livable, and you won't feel the constant temperature shock, nor will you develop pulmonary issues. Americans are obsessed with shortcuts and technologies that make their lives easier, but they often ignore their downsides, and they get all confused when people push back on their fantasies. I always felt that Americans (or at least the tech-obsessed Americans) are heading toward what I call Star Trek conditions. Living indoors, breathing fake air, getting fake sun, eating fake food, and thinking they have somehow hacked nature itself through their superb intelligence. It's delusional.
@levelsio@levelsio

It's odd that even European billionaire startup founders don't get why'd you need AC? This guy built one of the biggest food delivery apps High IQ and highly succesful European: why would you need AC? why do you want to live in a fridge? So it's not about intelligence, it's something else? Culture? Culture of what?

Americans I'm begging you to realise when people are playing a character to pander to your biases for engagement, that German guy "loves the US" in the same way that the stripper is in love with you

You have not watched a single World Cup, you’ve most definitely not watched a single game of football if you think this the best WC in decades…. American exceptionalism is truly the opiate of the American masses.
Adrienne thee Creative | Experience Curator@brownandbella

It’s not “in spite” of Americans. You are in our house and we are showing an EXTRAORDINARY amount of graciousness to our guests as they travel across the country. You can hate on us hosting the WC all you want but the facts remain that it’s been a FLAWLESS execution thus far!

By the way. On the US note. I fucking love America. I love going there. I love the people. But the Americans will never ever understand football and the roots & history of the game! That’s just fact.

Anyway….American exceptionalism yet again. Do you guys not ever ask yourselves that maybe your government has lied to you about being “the greatest country in the world” & the only one with freedom? Europeans get 5-6 weeks of vacation time as a minimum. Many are wealthy.
technology sista (aspiring)@typeclonghouse

bruh i didnt realize europeans are actually spending multiple weeks on vacation here for the world cup how can they afford it?

@SysterYzter Also Americans seem pretty oblivious to how bad air conditioning is for the environment. Although considering the gas guzzling monster vehicles they drive just to go buy some milk, I doubt they care about the planet.

Finally catching up on the legit information about the shooting in Montreal. Why am I not shocked some piece of shit white guy from alberta who hates women decided to go on a shooting spree to die by cop? These incels need to stop falling for the misinformation and lies the far right is feeding them. Stop listening to manosphere podcasts that are only meant to enrage you, keep you alone and to keep you paying them money for their dating and success in life guides. Make friends, get a hobby, go out and be social. Stop feeding the hate machine.
