Lot of people from Long Island (not NYC) and Jersey (also not NYC) getting mad and saying "Only transplants say Lurr," meanwhile, everyone I know from Queens (the only actual New Yorkers who ever take the LIRR) pronounce it "Lurr." Curious!

It’s either “Long Island railroad” “L I R R” “LI double R” and maybe once or twice I’ve heard “Leer,” and that was most likely an outsider. There is nobody and I mean NOBODY in the world who says Lurr

If Pizza Hut can return, then we can resurrect Blockbuster. And we should. While Netflix made things more “convenient” we lost something irreplaceable: The ritual of going to a place with your family or friends to choose a story together. That experience was special.
