@DrewScuilla Understood, but the same argument was made when we added football, that it would "kill the other FAU sports". In fact it did the opposite. It opened the door into media opportunities which benefitted the school at large and gave it needed credibility. Moving along now...

Understand the point and logic, but the result can't be applied across the board. FAU added football, then 21 years later went to the Final Four. The difference is back then there was no frenzy to spend like a maniac for success. Old school relationships ruled the airways: prospects came, bought into the system and culture, and produced; all things not for sale.
