@AntonChigu80801 @Alexmitter @AnechoicMedia_ Your logic doesn't check out is the problem. First off, the original conversation was what even qualifies as "ultra processed." and how it affects heart disease. That's not a simple calorie counting problem, and "it comes in plastic wrap" is not indicative of processing. At all.

@Alexmitter @RyozuK @AnechoicMedia_ You failed to follow the logic of my diet because you lacked the capacity to understand it intellectually. Obviously, it's about thr fucking calories you moron! You can nitpick my diet, but at the end of the day, it can work well!

Ultraprocessed food isn't a coherent scientific concept and the attempts to formalize it have been a joke, as with the scale used in this study. Slice a potato and bake it: Unprocessed (Group 1) Slice a potato and fry it: "Ultraprocessed" (Group 4) Nuts: Unprocessed Nuts, salted: "Processed" (Group 3) Homogenized, pasteurized milk: Unprocessed Milk churned with sugar into ice cream: "Processed" This is a search for a scientific-sounding language to describe why one set of foods is nutritionally suspect, but in moralizing terms of how it was created by an industrial system, rather than characterizing food impacts directly by nutritional content or satiety. They can't just call the system "added sugar" because that's too obvious and not morally satisfying.
The Wall Street Journal@WSJ

People who eat around nine servings a day of ultraprocessed foods like chips and doughnuts have about a 67% higher risk of heart attacks, strokes and dying from heart disease compared with those who eat about one serving a day, according to a new study. 🔗 on.wsj.com/3PgXHeg

@Alexmitter @RyozuK @AnechoicMedia_ Holy fucking shit. It's not about the plastic you fucking dickhead. If a chicken is wrapped in plastic I don't have a problem with it. It's just an easy way to exclude things from your diet, don't consume ultra high processed foods. How do you know if it is? It will be wrapped!

@AnechoicMedia_ If it's wrapped in plastic, don't eat it. Good rule to follow. Eat meat, eggs, fruit, vegetables and cook your food in butter. Count your calories and try to be unhealthy on that diet

Holy shit... Microsoft open sourced an inference framework that runs a 100B parameter LLM on a single CPU. It's called BitNet. And it does what was supposed to be impossible. No GPU. No cloud. No $10K hardware setup. Just your laptop running a 100-billion parameter model at human reading speed. Here's how it works: Every other LLM stores weights in 32-bit or 16-bit floats. BitNet uses 1.58 bits. Weights are ternary just -1, 0, or +1. That's it. No floats. No expensive matrix math. Pure integer operations your CPU was already built for. The result: - 100B model runs on a single CPU at 5-7 tokens/second - 2.37x to 6.17x faster than llama.cpp on x86 - 82% lower energy consumption on x86 CPUs - 1.37x to 5.07x speedup on ARM (your MacBook) - Memory drops by 16-32x vs full-precision models The wildest part: Accuracy barely moves. BitNet b1.58 2B4T their flagship model was trained on 4 trillion tokens and benchmarks competitively against full-precision models of the same size. The quantization isn't destroying quality. It's just removing the bloat. What this actually means: - Run AI completely offline. Your data never leaves your machine - Deploy LLMs on phones, IoT devices, edge hardware - No more cloud API bills for inference - AI in regions with no reliable internet The model supports ARM and x86. Works on your MacBook, your Linux box, your Windows machine. 27.4K GitHub stars. 2.2K forks. Built by Microsoft Research. 100% Open Source. MIT License.

@chakrax2 @ShitpostRock Not too bright huh? If base damage is 1-10, +20 is huge, if Base damage is 1000, +20 is nothing. If Hitting more often screws with tempo and opens you up for counter attacks, that's not good. If Crit damage is just "+10" it's worthless

@ShitpostRock "Theres not enough info" "Whats the stats?" Attack speed is always the eight option. Crit chance is a stupid unreliable gimmick, ans damage per hit being +20 is too small. Attack speed always feels better

@OptyrionPrimax What does your inability to "get it" have to do with how they choose to play? You certainly don't have to play that way. Anyways, short answer is they enjoy it, even f you wouldn't.

@KaiKai2492 It's not that every show has to represent ever gender and race, but just try imagining a world where literally everyone in all media either looks nothing like you, or is made to be the bad guy. Maybe you don't mind, but then it's not about you.

Imma be real I've never understood why people need to see themselves represented in media. All I care about is if the story is good, I don't need a character to be my sex and skin color to relate to them. I could watch a show where the entire cast are Asian women and If it's written well I'll be able to find things I can relate to. Hell I don't even need them to be HUMAN. They can be aliens or robots for all I care.

i agree that representation and seeing urself on screen is important but when people dismiss art simply because they cannot relate to it it really really worries me.

@Simon_Hypixel I (and a few other people) have made mods that implement a well that fills buckets with water. I decided against it, but what if the well required Water Essence? That could make it a resource but without being too painful. A single essence could be many buckets worth

For example, infinite water is likely to be added in an upcoming update. Hauling buckets back and forth just to fill a pond is tedious, and draining rivers and lakes doesn't look great either. However, water might become a meaningful resource in future systems, so infinite water may not stick forever, but right now, it'll make your life a lot easier.

Quick note on Hytale QoL in Early Access! We're currently working on many changes, and thanks to all your feedback and suggestions, we have a much better idea of where to prioritize! Some of the changes we're shipping are quick ones that solve real pain points today, even when we know they aren't the long-term answer. The way you play today is going to look very different a year from now. A lot of the manual work you're doing right now is meant to be solved through deeper, interconnected game systems over time. So every QoL decision we make today, we're weighing against where things are headed. Building those deeper systems takes time though, and that's the tradeoff we're trying to balance. That said, we're not going to let you struggle with the basics while we develop it all! Some upcoming QoL changes in Early Access will be temporary by design, and we'll do our best to communicate that as we go. As the game's systems get deeper, some of those early QoL will need to change, and when they do, we'll always aim to replace them with something equal or better through real gameplay. This way of thinking actually lets us ship QoL faster, as long as everyone understands that some of it may change down the road when better systems take its place. Thanks for playing, and keep the feedback coming!

@RyozuK @AllietheDegen If a women can bench press more than me, I'd find that quite formidable. And I'm afraid I'm too sexist to tell her to do something I can do better. Joke aside, I personally think the opposite, the differences between the sexes are great and intentionally as we're complimentary.
