For Piccolo to blow the damn thing up like he did, as quickly as he did, his Ki blast have to move at FTL speeds.
And Raditz was dodging and reacting to Ki attacks.

Hell, due to Roshi only blowing up the moon in a buff mode, it is not even like early DB characters scale to him anyway.

Raditz could dodge Ki moves from a Piccolo that could blow up the moon in seconds. That is roughly FTL speeds at worst. Which Viltrumites only ever reach in space

Not saying they are as strong as the 50 survivors, they objectively aren't, but they are still strong enough to survive their own culture and purges.

Even if King Vegeta cant destroy 3 planets with a flick of the wrist like in the gif, he would curb stomp Viltrum and all people on it easy.
