These young position-based hitting instructors crack me up. 
They study perfect home run swings and try to copy them frame by frame, but they never study misses where real hitting actually lives. They don’t watch how the body naturally organizes around center mass when timing is off, when velocity surprises you, or when the barrel isn’t caught perfectly. They ignore how the body moves differently in real game situations on the run, late, early, jammed, or when the hitter knows they didn’t flush it and the body instinctively adjusts to apply force. They sell perfect swings for the 30% of pitches a hitter guesses right. 
They have no understanding of the other 70% where adjustability, posture, connection, and movement solutions decide who survives elite pitching. That’s not instruction.
That’s highlight-reel coaching. If you don’t understand what happens when the swing isn’t perfect, you don’t understand hitting at all.

Incredible weekend up in Braintree, Massachusetts with the @btreebaseball club. This organization continues to grow every year because players train to a plan, buy in, and put in the work. Baseball has always been strong here, but it’s awesome to see softball starting to grow within the program as well. I was fortunate to bring in one of the very few people Corey Mir I truly trust in the hitting world from Wisconsin. Quiet guy, but when he teaches, he speaks volumes. Several of his students were drafted in the MLB Draft this year his work speaks for itself. I don’t trust many, but there are very few I do, and he’s at the top of that list. It was also amazing to work with so many young ladies from across Massachusetts who follow my training and are committed to improving. The future is bright, and the energy, effort, and potential I saw this weekend were off the charts. Thank you, Massachusetts see you next year!
