Mostly snarky and occasionally clever, but usually neither. Always looking for tells and calling the bluffs... (BA) in Philosophy. (BS) in Computer Science.

@FBGreatMoments Herbert is good, but he needs some help.
English

@alphafox The 80's were different. It's possible it happened all the time, but because it was a minor aged male everyone just high-fived him and went about their day wishing they could be so lucky.
English

@CringeLord_ @Mans_Ascent You're either projecting or just really dumb. You're probably not even married.
English

@RzltzNotTypical @Mans_Ascent People, Look out for men who think this way. They take what they want and force themselves upon their women weather they want it or not. These predators are dangerous and should be avoided.
English

@BAMA_Hound @SerpentorsLairX Yah, and it's why most kids didn't get one. You could guarantee the one who did suddenly had lots of new friends.
English

@SerpentorsLairX Assuming this was ~1978, that is $665 today. 👀

@TheStingisBack Kathleen Turner was so hot. And that voice of hers...
English

@TheStingisBack This was a movie I watched a lot as a kid. I loved that pump shotgun. Also had a huge crush on Kathleen Turner. Side notes: Not only was this a Zemeckis' breakthrough, but it was also Alan Silvestri's breakthrough as a composer.
English

@LRinaldiArt Is your point that since it doesn't look like that, it's perfectly reasonable to kill it?
English

@RetroTechDreams I never started my games from within Windows 95. I still booted to DOS first.
English

@Nonnalin @MensHumor OK sure, but employees aren't obligated to put up with unreasonable expectations or unfair treatment. An employer who denies PTO risks losing that employee--which is what happened.
English

@MensHumor PTO is almost always a request, not a guaranteed right (outside of protected leaves like FMLA). You're both at fault (you by trying to create pressure with the flights) but he was being a bit nasty with you. He should have been more collaborative.
English

@DMOasisMirage @lucyshow11 @TheLucyShow1 Breakfast Club is more about Gen X. St. Elmo's Fire is more about (young) Boomers.
English

@DMOasisMirage @lucyshow11 @TheLucyShow1 I tried watching as kid, but I couldn't connect with it like I did the Breakfast Club. I just think it was aimed more towards the generation born in the early 60's
English

@lucyshow11 @TheLucyShow1 That's one I've never seen, it's just barely after my time but I really like The Breakfast Club and it seems similar.
English

@SimpPolice911 She said it was sh***y coz she didn't think anyone would ever do that for her. She was jealous. And once she got to know it was for her, she was truly sorry that she was jealous. She seemed genuine. They are both lucky to have each other.
English

@SimpPolice911 I mean...this is always the risk you take, right? I do, however, believe her tears are genuine. She feels like absolute shit.
English

@WCCSG_ I'd completely forgotten that Stanford's mascot used to be The Indians.
English

@cctvincidents You'd be surprised how many people have dropped their money when you announce you just found some.
English

@ManaByte This sequence was outstanding. It was Rian's strongest idea, but it never evolved beyond this moment. Rian's vision was essentially flashy moment after flashy moment with little buildup, minimal emotional depth or foundation, and sacrificing substance for spectacle.
English

@DschlopesIsBack Why print this unless you're planting exit strategy seeds? Democrats knew they were going to have to pivot.
