This omission signals a regression in the vital project of newsroom transformation and a failure by the leaders of these newsrooms to ensure that their newsrooms represent the voices of all South Africans.

Award-winning journalists Katy Katopodis and Qaanitah Hunter hosted the Johannesburg leg of the Mental Resilience Training: Surviving and Thriving in a Newsroom today.

Following successful sessions in Cape Town and Durban, journalists in Johannesburg came together to explore practical strategies for building resilience, managing the pressures of the newsroom, and supporting their wellbeing in a demanding profession.
