We’re excited to congratulate the Leadership Sumter Class of 2025–2026, a 9-month program created by the Sumter Chamber of Commerce to bring community members together to learn, lead, and network. SAFE Federal Credit Union is especially proud to have had two employees, Mekeisha Gibbons and Rob Tillman, take part in this transformative experience. Over the course of the program, they built strong connections, expanded their knowledge of Sumter, and honed leadership skills that will benefit our community for years to come. We’re so proud of you two!

What an amazing weekend at the inaugural Gamecock City Invitational! SAFE was honored to be the presenting sponsor as baseball fans packed Riley Park for two days of top-tier high school action and a special visit from baseball legend Bobby Richardson. The tournament highlighted some of South Carolina’s best talent and brought our community together for a truly memorable event. Huge thanks to the City of Sumter for hosting and to everyone who came out to support!

Wow! Because of YOU, tons of secure documents were disposed of at our recent Shred Event. Plus, nearly $1,000 was donated, along with plenty of furniture and home goods, to the Habitat for Humanity Restore. We couldn't have done it without your energy and support. SAFE is helping the Bravo Education Foundation of Clarendon County put advanced teaching tools in the hands of area teachers. The $1,500 donation will aid individual classroom projects through the Foundation’s grant program, giving students a better chance to succeed in life. Thank you for being part of our SAFE Family! It’s not every day you get almost 400 family members together in one place, but that’s exactly what happened at our annual employee STAR (SAFE Training and Recognition) Day meeting. We’re still buzzing from all the energy and excitement! The LINK’s Emerging Leaders got money smart(er) during their recent visit to SAFE. In a session led by SAFE’s Financial Wellness Counselor, Shretta Godbolt, these high school leaders got real-world insights on budgeting, saving, and money management. The Emerging Leaders program helps students build leadership skills while earning college credit through USC-Sumter. A great initiative for students as they prepare for adulthood!
