Scotland’s best chance of winning the 6N in a long time is here. They can beat France, historically they have a 56% win rate over them at home. 2020 and 2021 wins under Townsend the last in a 6N. Finn Russell becomes WPOY this weekend.

Toot toot! I'm on the Scotland six nations hype train, and that's a good thing given as I'm going to 4/5 of our matches. Crossing the Rubicon in Rome next weekend - bad time to be a glass of red wine. What are your recommendations in Dublin, Cardiff and the Italian capital?

Junior Ministers Joanne Bunting and Aisling Reilly met with Adam Lang and Stuart Mackinnon from Carnegie UK to discuss the findings of the organisation’s Life in the UK 2025 Index NI report. They also spoke about the Programme for Government Wellbeing Dashboard and how it is being used to assess population-level wellbeing here to inform future policy.

I do miss The Herald's leader column at times like these, even just to ask "What's different this time?"

The Herald also suggests that there might be a cut-back in quangos: heraldscotland.com/news/25243294.… A similar UK-wide move was also outlined in last week's spending review. What's happening here?
