The African Wild Dog🐾 African wild dogs appear to “vote” with sneezes before hunts or pack movements. Research suggests these sneezes help build group consensus, especially when deciding whether to move on together. Known as some of Africa’s most successful hunters, wild dogs rely on remarkable teamwork and cooperation. After a hunt, adults often regurgitate food for pups and other pack members that stayed behind, including injured or older individuals. ___ 📸 Wild By Nature Photography📍 #KrugerNationalPark #LiveYourWild #WildBackyard

The Minister also reflected on the continued growth of South Africa’s tourism sector and the importance of tourism in driving economic development, investment, and job creation across communities. #ATI2026 #UnlimitedAfrica #VisitKZN #VistDurban #SouthAfricaAwaits

This week at Africa's Travel Indaba 2026, we brought the wild to Durban. From our main exhibition dedicated to the commemoration of the Kruger centenary, to 16 community-owned enterprises stepping onto a global stage at the Socio-Economic Transformation Stand, to an outdoor Kruger stand that felt like a corner of the bush had travelled south to tell its own 100-year story. Every space was a reminder that conservation only works when it works for everyone. #LiveYourWild #Kruger100 #Next100 #KNP100 #ATI2026 #AfricasTravelIndaba #OurHeritageOurFuture

“Proclaimed in 1926, Kruger has grown into one of the world’s most iconic protected areas. It is a landscape recognised globally for its biodiversity, scientific excellence and tourism appeal — but it is also much more than that. Kruger represents a century of learning, adaptation and resilience, and a reminder that conservation is never static; it is shaped by people, policy, partnership and purpose.” — SANParks Interim Board Chairperson, Ms Beryl Ferguson at the Conversations About Conservation on the sidelines of 2026 Africa Travel Indaba. #Kruger100 #Next100 #KNP100 #KrugerCentenary #LiveYourWild #ConversationsAboutConservation

Opening remarks by SANParks CEO, Hapiloe Sello: "Thank you for joining SANParks’ Conversation about Conservation dialogue at the prestigious Africa’s Travel Indaba. This year marks more than a decade since SANParks began participating in Africa’s Travel Indaba. Significantly, it is also a milestone year as SANParks commemorates a centenary since the proclamation of the Kruger National Park as a national park on 31 May 1926. It is therefore fitting that the focus of this year’s Conversation about Conservation dialogue is the #KNP100 centenary." #ConversationsAboutConservation #Kruger100 #Next100
