The electronic structure calculations were complemented with an in-depth analysis of the sigma and pi interactions between the alkynylide and the Fe(IV) via ETS-NOCV method. The insights rationalized the 13C-NMR chemical shifts. Electrons flow from red to blue regions.🧵4/4
