We have NEVER seen lines in the first round of March Madness like this year. From 2013-2025 the highest average line for favorites in the Round of 64 was -11.4 last season. Currently the average line for favorites this weekend is -13.7 ppg!

Interlopers among the blue bloods at the top of the NCAA tournament tend to struggle. Non-major conference teams as top 7 seeds in the NCAA tournament are 54-79 vs the spread. No. 3 Gonzaga and No. 7 St Mary’s are the only two such schools as top 7 seeds this season.
