Mentors like James and Keone do this perfectly. They actually take the time to know you, ask about your specific interests, and try to understand you without trying to mold your thoughts. It’s the exact opposite of those bosses who fake interest just to manage you. Real respect means acknowledging someone's uniqueness and supporting their choices, without interference.

man this country is fvcked up fr was on my way to the airport looking so basic for my age (to avoid profiling) then this dude stopped me yesterday asked what I do for a living, told him i have a gym at another city he asked me how long I've been in Abuja, told him since December cuz I came for a visit he asked me where Im going atm told him I was gonna pass through another area (to see someone briefly) before I head back to the airport he asked for my phone I gave him my xiaomi and seeker w/o even checking the contents of the phone, he was quick to profile me as a "working boy" Internet fraudster lol I told him i wasn't and he kept insisting i now said okay give me my phone so i can call a custom officier who'd identify me he dogged that after a long chat (back and forth) , man said i should buy bag or rice for him and 3 of his guys lmaoo i told him i don't have we dragged a while and because of time, i gave him 18k ~ 20 usd ish so he'd let me pass lol if not for i didn't want to miss my flight, him and I would have stayed there for hours lol looks like dressing to basic, keeping your hair intact and looking responsible even having a legit business don't save you again in this country be careful
