@_ChesterFrazier Coach, for the freshman on Illinois between nerves aand NFL stadium site lines, both appear to be hampering them outside the paint. Some of the looks from deep are wide open and not even close.

Gotta figure out off ball defense and switches - giving up too many 3s - Hurley runs great actions- good half just gotta clean up some of those- offensively gotta try to get ball moving more-

About as bad as you can be the last 5 mins. No offensive flow. Missed [wide] open shots (all half). Took lead and just shutdown. That said, this is pretty par for the course for this team this season. Plenty of time left. All about stops in April. Been here before. #Illini

@Sturdy32 True but if we are gonna depend on offensive rebounds to get to Indy I think our luck will run out eventually against the athletic teams. We are all about the draw come March. Will be interesting.

@SBK1124 Yeah, but the other factor is that Michigan takes away some of the offensive rebounds they can normally get.

May says Boswell was getting to the rim at will so they went under and let him shoot. Said some looked on line but they didn't go in and that was the game.

@ILL_Texan They aren't athletic enough, I said last week. They just can't compete against those teams. They have no action in the paint in set plays, and rely on Tomi and Z to hit 3s at a decent clip. 1-8 today paired with Boswell 1-6 no good. Build around Mirk next year with athletes

Michigan is very good obviously but gotta make shots, win 50/50 battle & not turn it over. #Illini did none of that well. Have zero room for error. Michigan has a lot of room for error. This was a beatdown, sadly. Need to refocus or the season will be over before you know it.

@JWerner247 They aren't athletic in the paint. Our bigs are slow. Mirk has game but the others aren't quick enough on either end they rely on the height. Slow twitch. Unfortunately when they are missing there 3s also it's a bad combination of Tomi and Big Z.
