At its most recent board meeting, the SBPSB held elections for president and vice president for the 2023 calendar year. Diana Dysart, who represents district 7, was elected as board president while Katherine Lemoine, the district 1 representative, was elected vice president.

Due to impending severe weather later this evening, the St. Bernard Parish Public School System will dismiss Chalmette High School 10 minutes early today, January 24, 2023. All of our remaining schools will follow. **All after-school activities and events are canceled.**

School officials at W. Smith Elem. were made aware of a bomb threat & contacted the sheriff. Students were evacuated & the sheriff & fire depts swept the building & called an all-clear. The building has been determined to be safe. Students can safely return to school tomorrow.

For the 9th year in a row, CHS seniors have been named as Posse scholars. Anna Nguyen & Kai Williams were notified that they had been awarded this prestigious, four-year scholarship. Nguyen will attend @cwru while Williams will enroll at @Tulane this fall. bit.ly/3WGeqqk
