Takeaways from the Spurs Game 2 loss vs. Oklahoma City:
- The Spurs played probably about as badly as they could and the Thunder were on the ropes all game
- De'Aaron Fox, I hope that ankle is ready by Friday, because you are very much needed
- Stephon Castle simultaneously kept both teams in the game, he was so good but yet so bad
- Thank you Devin Vassell for showing up from deep, we need you to keep that going
- Julian Champagnie has to figure it out, if he's not hitting threes you can make the argument for Carter Bryant
- Keldon Johnson's tunnel vision with the ball in his hands is just running through he can ending with a bad shot or turnover
- I'm not sure why there was so little looks for Victor Wembanyama, they got him going in the third, but that has to be for 48 minutes
- Did they forget how to take care of the basketball? Genuinely what is going on, if you have like seven less turnovers you probably win the game
- Every time they managed to make it close, there would be some abysmal turnover, or they would forget how to rebound
- I complimented the officiating in Game 1 and it somehow just went completely south
- That being said I want eyes on Isaiah Hartenstein the rest of the series, how did he finish the game?
- I'm also convinced they're teaching flopping, some of these flops are just shameless
- I figured SGA wouldn't shoot as bad as he did in Game 1, he had an MVP-type performance
- Eventually the defensive gameplan will involve guarding Alex Caruso
- The Spurs have to force more turnovers and I'm not sure how
- Spurs managed to win the rebounding and points in the paint battle, but at what cost
- The Spurs without point guards, playing as badly as they could, made the defending champs fight to the end on the road in must-win game for them, and they only came out on top by nine
- Dylan Harper please be okay
- To win in six, you have to lose two
1-1. We freaking move. #PorVida

Stephon Castle took accountability for the turnovers tonight. Said fatigue is a factor, but that it’s not a viable excuse this late into the season — everyone is tired.
Says he’s got to be better. #PorVida

Again the help of Tony Brothers. When the @spurs approach, there he is to prevent it. Here you can clearly see that the ball never touched the line and he was closer. He is the 6th man of OKC. It’s embarrassing that the @NBA allows this. @OfficialNBARefs @NBAOfficial

Atleast, he tried to be honest. Dirty ass team.

SGA on Isaiah Hartenstein’s impact on Wemby tonight: “Um… I’m not sure if it was good to be honest. Yeah.”

I’m sorry, the turnovers are a big concern regardless of the context (which I agree with). Mitch just has to find a balance. Devo is another viable option.

Very hard for me to care at all about Castle's high turnovers considering: -OKC pressure -No Fox (or Harper) to relieve it -It's like a football game out there -He leads all scorers -He's playing like an absolute dawg

500-IQ intentional loss by Coach Mitch Johnson 🧠
-Knew the game was over before it started (script/Tony Brothers) and sat Fox for more rest
-Didn’t object to any of Hartenstein’s dirty plays or OKC’s flops to allow for additional video proof to send to the league office
-Had Castle turn the ball over 20 times in 2 games to trick OKC into thinking he isn’t a composed player (will let him try in game 3)
