The Winning time in the 0-100 handicap was 1m 10.23s faster when comparing to the group 3 Abernant Stakes 2 races later : 1m 10.58s in which you had Run To Freedom 109, Aramram 107 and Quinault 112. Both the first 2 rated 90 and 85 at the time pulling well clear of the strong handicap field and judging by the overall time i think they both will go on to compete in group company later this year. A photo and a moment that will help me remember Saint Sam. At the time it almost seemed surreal such was the quietness and the solitude. It’s a tough sport at times that really does pull at our heartstrings. It can break your heart. We just have to hope that he was doing what he loved, he lived a happy life, and was adored by all who knew him. That’s all any of us would want. RIP x
