@Nato459 I had basically 0 confidence a star like Uzo Aduba would stick around for the show. The fact she did was a genuine shock.
The skepticism arose from Peedee. After appearing throughout season 1, Atticus Shaffer didn't return so Steven's best human friend became a background filler.

@notcorioliss @quail4sale @uzoart Their USA food videos clearly pander to an American audience. They visibly play up being English in both how they act and in the editing. Tbf I was exaggerating about them behind the camera, but I'm also sure they needed more of a reaction than "Yeah, it's good" from the kids.

Next ep Pearl says she couldn't have known the gem would be so powerful, despite Lapis doing nothing crazy at first and she knows about all gems. CGs bubbled all corrupted gems so they didn't think that. Only thing that sorta makes sense is she underestimated her bc of the crack.
