al ewing is definitely a continuity freak but i think what makes him special as a writer is how he uses intertextuality to lend these knowledge check characters thematic weight and some pretty skillful social analysis to give them emotionally relatable underpinnings

@MarkDiStef I had a friend from HR at Chobani at my bucks last week talk to me with a completely straight face about Australia's current 'yoghurt shortage'.

The fact that I almost never see posts from people talking about the All-New comics (except for Bendis' Uncanny X-Men and the Bobby scene) speaks to the "affection" the fandom has for this era, and I think that in a few years the same will happen to current comics.

@Evenadamas2 I thought Old Man Logan was terrific. TBH, I think once you go with 'Logan accidentally killed the X-Men' in your story it doesn't really matter how he does it, it's about the crushing guilt etc. Plus that whole timeline is bloodsoaked, and it's Mark Millar, it is what it is

I don't think it's the worst thing. It has its pros and cons, but the cons are downright ridiculous.
And how did Logan manage it? Psylocke was there to snap him out of the trance.

Being a writer doesn’t make you fit for writing comics. Ta-Nehisi Coates & Eve Ewing prove that as gladly read any of the really good political book by Coates but I hated his comic books & Dr. Ewing while she’s majored in literature proved a lot that she can’t write comics #xmen
