It's official: We are now the "Philosophy and Theory SIG" in the Society for Cinema and Media Studies (@SCMStudies)! Thanks to all of our members who took time to vote on the name change!

With apologies for the delay, the Philosophy & Theory SIG is now soliciting recommendations for panel sponsorship for the upcoming SCMS. Please let us know if you’d like your panel to be considered by sending both your Session Number and Title (on this thread or via DM)!

After a very close race, Bernard will now serve as Co-Chair. He will replace Shane Denson @medieninitiativ, who we would like to thank for all that he has done for the SIG during his three years as Co-Chair.

Thank you to all who voted in the recent Co-Chair election, and especially to our excellent candidates--Will Brown and Bernard Geoghegan. We were extremely proud to present the SIG with two amazing candidates.
