In collaboration with Urswick, Bardsea and Stainton Parish Council, we have been out #waterquality testing around Urswick Tarn, in order to understand the pressures this system faces. A12 month programme, looking at catchment issues and diffuse pollution inputs #FridayVibes

What a lovely day last week when the Environment Agency visited the River Kent to check the water quality sondes. Sadly, the case around the sensor had come off; to limit further damage the sonde was removed. Replacement sondes came days later so only a few days of data was lost.

Another annual Patrons event done - this year it was all about @LIFER4everKent! We got to tour the fantastic @freshwaterbio species recovery centre to see Freshwater Pearl Mussels, ending in Kentmere learning all about our river restoration work! #dayout #Cumbria

There are 10 new leaky dams in the Winster valley thanks to one excellent #volunteer and two SCRT staff members! Leaky dams slow the flow and trap sediment - improving floodplain connectivity, water quality and reducing flood risk downstream! #Cumbria #delivery #dayinthelifeof
