A huge day for NHS dentistry. I had a call with the Minister in charge of dentistry @andrealeadsom yesterday who outlined the government’s Dental Recovery Plan. I see 20-25 #NHS patients a day in Oxford. Therefore, I was thrilled to hear the investment going into helping protect the nations oral health. My key take-aways from this £200 million investment: 🦷 2.5 million extra appointments on the NHS 🦷 £20,000 for dentists to work in areas where recruitment is difficult 🦷 Tailored dental vans in rural communities 🦷 Smile for Life - a new oral health scheme that puts prevention at the heart of everything we do.
