Check out Smithtown's 4th annual Sports and Dance Equipment Exchange. Do some Spring cleaning and help out the Smithtown community by donating sports and dance equipment that are no longer needed instead of throwing it out while you shop for items you may need!

Great Hollow received a huge thank you from Long Island Harvest for our recent drive food.

Students in Mr. Kelly's Tech elective class built their own solar ovens after learning about solar radiation and thermal dynamics. Once cooked to the proper temperature, students enjoyed their hotdogs and cookies.

The FCCLA club will be hosting their 9th Annual Chalk the Walk event on TUESDAY MAY 19th after school from 3-4pm.  All students are welcome to participate in this event. Any student that would like to participate please see Mrs. Hall or Mrs. D'Addario.

Team 7A is sponsoring a food drive for LI Cares from April 20 -May 1. If everyone could bring in 1-2 non-perishable food items, toiletries or pet items we could make a big difference for those in need. Collection boxes are located throughout the building.

The Smithtown Performing Arts Center is holding auditions for middle school and high school students for Moana Jr. this Saturday.

Come out on May 20th to support The Smithtown Children's Foundation.

After finishing their novel, 'And Then... Boom,' speakers from Long Island Cares, The Harry Chapin Food Bank, spoke to 7th grade students in Mrs. Wanser's English class about food insecurity on Long Island as a way of connecting to the novel.

The reviews are in!! Great Hollow's musical production of "High School Musical Jr." received two thumbs up from critics. Students performed in front of 3 packed out crowds on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Congrats to all performers, crew techs, and teachers! Bravo!

Congratulations to our Girls Red Volleyball team on an outstanding season finishing 10-0. In addition, the team was also recognized as a Scholar-Athlete team with a combined GPA of 3.82. The team was awarded certificates and t-shirts during Thursday's ceremony.

Get ready to Tropic Like it's Hot! The last chance to buy tickets in school for the March 20th 7th grade dance will be Friday March 13th. Tickets are $25 cash or check (payable to GH PTA) and will be sold during 5th period lunch.

Eighth Grade students at Great Hollow took in a powerful performance by the wonderful actors from Theatre Three in From The Fires: Voices of the Holocaust. The staff and students were captivated and enjoyed asking questions at the end.

In celebration of World Language Week, students in Ms. Nuccio's Italian class made cultural posters to hang up around Great Hollow! Bellissimo!

Great Hollow’s 7th graders are having a Luau Party! Friday, 3/20 7-9pm at GHMS. There will be a DJ, Photo Booth, Snacks and more! Tickets are $25 cash or check payable to GH PTA. Tickets will be on sale on Tuesday 3/3, Wednesday 3/5, & Tuesday 3/10, during 7th grade lunch period.

Great Hollow came together for PS I Love You Day! The goal is to instill hope for those affected by mental illness, fostering a supportive community where everyone feels welcomed, loved, and supported. The theme "Be The Light" reminds us to be the sun in someone's cloudy day!
