In honor of his sacrifice, I will order the flags above the Statehouse to be lowered to half-staff on the day of his funeral.

Another step closer to regulatory reform in South Carolina ✅ The Small Business Regulatory Freedom Act (H.3021) just passed 3rd reading in the Senate and is officially headed back to the House. South Carolina’s small businesses deserve a regulatory system that encourages growth and opportunity, not unnecessary red tape. Let’s finish the job.

In 2022, Republicans passed the Comprehensive Tax Cut Act, sponsored by Chairman Peeler, and ushered in the largest-ever income tax reductions in South Carolina.

The bill marks the first of a broader tax-reform package, to include further cuts to income taxes, which senators began debating on Wednesday.
