SC State 1890

Explorers' Camp in the Midlands region was a week full of discovery, learning and adventure. Campers built birdhouses, conducted science experiments, explored soil health, learned about nutrition, played games, made new friends 7 enjoyed a visit to historic downtown Charleston.

They'll put their new skills to the test during Friday's cooking competition, where creativity and teamwork will take center stage. 🏆

The Vibing with Food and Fitness Camp is officially underway! 👩🏾‍🍳 This week, campers are building confidence in the kitchen as they learn about health and nutrition, practice kitchen safety and prepare a variety of new recipes.

Creativity shined at 4-H Residential Camp. Campers got hands-on with tie-dying, drawing, bracelet making and other activities that encouraged creativity, confidence and new friendships. Every project was an opportunity to learn, create and have fun. 🎨

Through the Community and Economic Development Business Planning Bootcamp, entrepreneurs gained the tools to strengthen their businesses and farms. In the Pee Dee Extension Region, Sentrella McPhail, founder of Surroundance Medical Solutions, earned the program's $10,000 prize.

Healthy habits start young! 🍎 During Residential Camp at Camp Bob Cooper, campers explored health and wellness through interactive lessons on healthy eating, kitchen safety and hands-on cooking demonstrations led by our Family, Nutrition and Health agents.

An amazing week at the Low Country 1890 Explorer’s Camp! Campers dove into agriculture through five Extension program areas, unleashing their creativity with arts and crafts, enjoying fun games and cooking demonstrations, and getting hands-on with different science experiments.
