With 80+ pitches he’s over this line in 8/L10 starts dating back to last season. He worked up to 97 pitches his last two starts. The Pirates are giving up the 3rd MOST strikeouts per game (9.41) and the 8th MOST to RHP. They hold the 6th highest chase% along with the 10th highest whiff%. That pairs great with Burns’ metrics as he holds an elite 92nd percentile whiff% and 69th percentile chase%. The Pirates have plenty of K targets in the lineup. 5 bats holding a K% above 19% vs RHP and the entire lineup holds a whiff% above 16% with 7/9 bats holding a whiff% above 20%.
