@SEPTA_SOCIAL @Dou33359Bridget They've let some of us off the train but we are stuck on the opposite side of the platform unable to cross until the train moves. They said it would move quickly but nothing yet and we've got Ubers coming.

@SEPTA @SEPTA_SOCIAL When will those of us who are stuck ahead of Miquon be let off the train so we can use those "alternate arrangements"? We've got folks who will miss flights.

@nckhui Thx for clarifying. I remember that policy well and feel like the vague language worked well for something so silly. Pretty sure parents who are trying to "wine and dine" teachers these days are just hoping they won't quit, given the state of things. 🤷‍♀️

@SChi0806 Current policy says teachers can only receive “token gifts of insubstantial value.” New policy spells out what it means. Caulfield wanted no limit. Others were trying to determine what limit would be equitable.

Wake County school board about to give initial approval to policy clarifying that teachers can receive gifts from individual parents of up to $75. Tara Waters says that provides equity to parents who can't afford big gifts. But Cheryl Caulfield says no limit should be set. #wcpss

If we want children to learn how to work together and get along, then we have to give themopportunities to practice working together and getting along. Is it easy? Not always. Is it worth it…to help them grow? Yes. @apexescougars

Helping your students to learn each other’s names as soon as possible is very important. It helps everyone feel safe and welcome. @apexescougars

When you tell your students that have a week to spend their gotchas, they start to make choices about the gotchas they’ve been saving. 50 gotchas “buys” lunch with the teacher. I guess I am eating lunch with six kids today. ❤️🤪 @apexescougars @SChi0806
