@SDHoopsTalk_ @JamesCrayy @NMEBBALL Sounds like a personal problem losing brain cells but the way these kids get criticized is a joke plain and simple. Yea you want to see quality basketball but at times that’s not going to be the case and people should get over it. Complaining on X damn sure not the solution 🤷🏾♂️

I’ve watched a ton of first session games across Nike EYBL, Adidas 3SSB, and Under Armour UAA. Here’s my honest takeaway:
Nike EYBL has the most talented and most skilled players, no debate. But there’s also a lot of low IQ basketball at times. Felt like I was watching the Houston Rockets every game. A lot of talent, a lot of chaos.
Adidas 3SSB has the best pure basketball product. High IQ plays, strong structure, and real offense being run. It looks the most like college basketball.
Under Armour UAA feels like a mix of both, but those kids play the hardest. There’s a real earned-not-given edge to that circuit. Tough, hungry players that compete like they’ve been overlooked their whole lives.
Nike has pros. (They also have the best shoes)
Adidas has the best watch for a basketball junkie.
UAA has that chip-on-the-shoulder feel.

@BBallScout2288 @JamesCrayy @NMEBBALL who tf said we expect HS players to play like pros? 🤣🤣 i’m losing brain cells here
English

@SDHoopsTalk_ @JamesCrayy @NMEBBALL Nothing silly about it. The fact is that y’all expect these kids to play and execute at level that like they are in the pros and it’s just not happening.
English

@BBallScout2288 @JamesCrayy @NMEBBALL So because they are HS players we cannot call the basketball being played “low” or “high” IQ? That’s literally the purpose of summer circuits — for college coaches to evaluate the talent…… silly comment.
English

@JamesCrayy @NMEBBALL All three circuits are quality basketball. It’s still high school kids playing so low IQ that shouldn’t be mentioned. These players are not finished products so you should expect bad shot selection a lot of turnovers things like that are going to occur.

@AC_TheGoldenBoy who is “we”?? 🤣🤣 He single handedly brought back college game day for CFB.

@SDHoopsTalk_ @BillyRayLahey62 I get your point, but there's more to it than that.
English

@pjpowers55 @BillyRayLahey62 It really isn’t about skill and ability. It’s about size & athleticism. SD isn’t producing 6’4” athletic PG’s, 6’9” wings that can jump out of the gym, or 7 footers on a regular basis. It’s just a fact.
English

@BillyRayLahey62 @SDHoopsTalk_ Agreed. An interesting question to me is with all of the HS level BB resources available in Sioux Falls why aren't there more D1 level players? Just a question.
English

@TheHoopHerald Almost any shooting wing at a high D1 level can do that all day long.
English

@iowa_fan1 Iowa fans are the “hypothetical” kings of the world and it’s diabolical.
English

@AC_TheGoldenBoy @KevinOConnor 19 point lead in the second half is more concerning than the turnover.
English

@KevinOConnor He can only do so much as a coach. These situations are drilled in their heads or should he at the end of each practice. With that being said you have to have experiences ball handlers on the floor with high IQ’s.
English

I'm blown away that Scheyer was instructing his team to advance the ball. Terrible situational basketball. Horrific coaching decision.

English

@BillyRayLahey62 @IceBorg sure — that’s probably fair, for past generations. But I think Peterson could truly make a massive shift with the new SDSU coach (also Peterson). My opinion is there is a gap and opening right now where Eric could attack that.
English

@SDHoopsTalk_ @IceBorg That is an uphill battle now. SDSU has ran away as the school who has the SD kids. Hard to imagine many kids in SD grow up watching more USD MBB than SDSU
English

Eric Peterson deserves better man.

NEWS: South Dakota junior Jordan Crawford (@jordandagoatt) intends to enter the transfer portal, his agent Davon Bell of One Motive Sports told @LeagueRDY. The 6-foot-3 guard out of Charlotte, North Carolina played just one season at South Dakota. Was named Second Team All-Summit League. He averaged 14.4PPG, 2.9RPG, 1.4APG and 1.2SPG this season. Shot nearly 37% from 3.
English

@IceBorg And I’d love to see him focus on local talent. Historically, SDSU and NDSU have success with in state kids that don’t tend to transfer away from home. Just my opinion.
English

@IceBorg Personally — I’d like to see a shift in where he is focusing the recruiting. A lot of the guys that make up his rosters are transfers from across the country. If you focus on the transfer portal, every year you are going to have large turnover.
